I WILL CONSUME ALL TOMORROW!
I’ve stopped playing Call of Duty just because I didn’t see anything fun or fresh in my eyes with the most latest installments, even Ghosts, where it was said that it had Dedicated Servers for console ports.
I like shooters as much as the next guy, since moving over for Fighting Games for a good portion of my year, I think it’s time I started balancing this out more to where I can enjoy x game at y time (shout outs to variables).
With this Call of Duty, I’m looking more to see how Sledgehammer Games does to make it fun again. To me, that’s the biggest factor when it comes to games such as those is the fun factor vs. competitiveness of the game. Same goes for Killer Instinct, which I’ve put in a big amount of time into (still my favorite game). Double jumps are an interesting way to incorporate a new mechanic into the game so I guess we’ll have to wait and see what there is down the line for this franchise/game.
I will probably preorder closer to launch
I created the twitter account @KI_Community for the specific reason of helping other people get better at Killer Instinct. I wanted to show others who are having trouble with the game that the community we have is here to help others, to not turn them away.
My intentions is to have this community be the most well respected community in the entire Fighting Game Community. Through Twitch chat, Facebook, forum posts, etc. but this weekend at CEO, kind of stirred me the wrong way.
Granted, BlazBlue did run later than expected, we should be prepared and ready for that. Not everything is going to run perfectly as we hope so we should not complain. BlazBlue’s community wants to see their game played through Grand Finals. We should respect that and let it happen. Saying “Get this crap off” or “When’s KI?” during the entire top 8 isn’t good for this community and makes us look like your average FGC community. I want us to be more than that.
We have been through so much since the start of this game. Through the naysayers, the haters, and more, we have grown significantly as a community. But all of this growing up won’t be shown if we act like a hater to other games on a chat forum and elsewhere when instead we should be embracing the fact that fighting games are awesome. Every game that gets stream time is great; that game’s respective community gets to see their best players duke it out for bragging rights and more.
I know this won’t reach a everyone but if this changes just one person’s perspective, then I’ve done a service to this community. Be respectful, be happy that Killer Instinct gets to be played on the main stage, later on a Sunday, etc.. If we’re to be respected, then be respectful to other games. You can be a good difference in this community.
P.S. If you are getting annoyed with someone on a twitch chat, click their name in the chat box and click ignore. You’re good.
There’s a meme making the rounds where you combine your two most active muses and I wanted to tackle it! So here is Glacius (Killer Instinct) mashed up with Thon ‘Talamee (a Sangheili commander from one of the Halo comics). Rather like how it turned out… so who do I have to throw cash at to make this a thing? Haha.
I remember why I was a lil urked by this game. Thought that being the Sniper would be cool, but I don’t think it’s me really. Feels clunky. Hopefully the new rifle (non-sniper) will be better.
I’m going to relax from Killer Instinct a bit. I want to play other games at the moment that I can have fun with. Strider… Sonic Generations was $9 (tax included) on Xbox Live; SUCH a steal. You should definitely get it.
The Fable series is also on sale, might check that out, as is Diablo III. Never played it but don’t know if it’s worth it. I still want to make my PC yet…
